The makeup of the actors here blew my mind. Seriously they were just so grotesquely gorgeous I had to have my photo taken with some of them. I loooooved the makeup and costumes in this haunt. If you’re into theatrics and not dark/strobes style scares you should check this place out, especially if you’re up in the area.

They did some super cool stuff with subtle animatronics that were not cheesy or obvious and the sets overall were quite good. Some of the actors here were very skilled and convincing, while others were less seasoned. One of the best actors in the place was about 9 years old (I’d guess) and creepy as most of the adult actors.

Cool haunt and they donate profits to charity. Can’t beat that!

Located in the old Goodwill building in downtown Ft. Collins and operating as a fundraiser, I have to admit I was very skeptical about this haunt and really didn’t know what to expect. I was hoping for the best, but was prepared for the worst.
I am pleased to say that my skepticism was wasted. This haunt under promised and over delivered!
The first actor I encountered was a young child dressed as a clown that stood and stared at me as I prepared to exit my vehicle in the most eerie, unnerving way. I’m normally not afraid of clowns, but this kid had me second guessing whether or not I should stay in the truck or get out.
Great props combined with good lighting and attention to detail made this a haunt worth seeing and it started off with an eerie video of a deranged pirate giving instructions and warnings. While trying to watch the video, another actor slithered around the room, getting in our faces and intimidating us. It was a great start and once the video was over, actual entry inside was a surprise reminiscent of a Disney production.
While a couple of the scenes lacked the details I enjoy, the majority of this haunt had it all. Blood curdling screams that chill to the bone, a three legged girl that emits some of the weirdest sounds I have ever heard, and fantastic use of costumes and makeup make this attraction come to life and it does so up close and personal.
Actors did a fabulous job of pushing the envelope and getting into my personal space which of course gave me the chance to really get a good look at the makeup and prosthetics used. Down to the teeth, (which are created by members of the crew), these actors dressed and acted the parts they were playing and were very believable. The makeup was flawless, even nose to nose with the actors. Even after I was out of the haunt, I was very impressed that the actors never broke character even as they posed for a picture with our team. Great job!
The Captains room was one of my favorites and the props and sets in here were amazing. I also really enjoyed the cemetery scene. Although small, it contained an actor with extraordinary makeup, a moat with live fish and great lighting.
A vortex tunnel had me off balance enough as it was, but add an energetic actor and it was nearly impossible to get through without crawling.
This haunt has been operating for ten years and has somehow been flying under the radar all this time. Not anymore. This is a haunt that will surely give the bigger haunts in Denver a full run for their money. Haunt owners beware, you have some serious competition up North and they have the actors, costumes, makeup and set design to move their way to the top! Well worth the trip up there!
